Happy Chanukah!

A message from Tony Lloyd:

Shalom aleikhem,

I would like to take the opportunity on this joyous occasion to wish all the Jewish communities across Greater Manchester a ‘Happy Chanukah’.

Blessed are you, Lord, our God, sovereign of the universe

Blessed are you, Lord, our God, sovereign of the universe

who has kept us alive, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this season, amen.

who has kept us alive, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this season, amen.

My vision is for all of us in Greater Manchester to work together to build the safest communities in Britain, therefore keeping in contact with communities is very important to me especially at times of celebration.  Community safety is my top policing and crime priority and that of Greater Manchester Police, our local Councils, and – most importantly of all – the people of Greater Manchester.  I hope you all have a great time over the next eight days of celebration and enjoy some delicious food.

Yours sincerely,

Tony Lloyd

Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester
