Tony met Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service officers at Philips Park Fire Station earlier today and signed the book of condolence for Stephen Hunt.
“My thoughts remain with Stephen’s friends and colleagues at this very difficult time,” said Tony.
“The tributes made to Stephen over the last few days show just how loved and respected he was by his colleagues and the communities he served.
“It’s times like this when we truly recognise the dangers members of the fire service face each day, putting themselves on the frontline to keep us safe. It really brings it home when lives are lost in such horrendous circumstances.”
Members of the public can also post their tributes on the online book of condolence on Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service’s website.
